How is cataract surgery performed?

In the following eye surgery, Dr. Elkins walks you through a topical clear cornea cataract extraction. Dr. Elkins will remove the cataract and implant a crystal lens, which gives the patient distance vision simultaneously with near vision.

The surgery is done under topical anesthesia and the patient can not feel anything even being done.
